Loading the CD into the PC's CD drive will cause the above screen to be diplayed.

If your CD drive's autostart facility has been disabled then it will be necessary to run BySchool.exe from the root directory on the CD.

(One way to run BySchool.exe is to select run from the start menu - clear any text from the Open window and press the Browse button, from the Browse window use the drop down 'arrow' button in 'Look in' and select your CD drive entitled 'BySchool'. Scroll to the right and select the BySchool icon (cd disk) then press Open followed by OK to confirm the Run command.)

Menu items turn Red when moving the pointing device over the text, click to select. Items such as 'Numeracy' scheme and 'Lea/University' sample documents have many files associated with the topic; an Explorer window is opened to display the choice, double click to Open your selected document. (Note: the free version of , Acrobat, PrePlan and WordFile4ME, need to have been installed previously for all file types to function).

There are other directories on the CD that provide data principally for WordFile operations:- Clipart (1198 files in 19 categories - mainly outlines for children to select, modify and include), Clipsound ( 175 files from an Aerosol to a Zoot wave), Clipwords and WordSound ( 57 and 33 files respectively to support Speak and Wordbank examples). These may be copied to the working directory or accessed from the CD by the appropriate media insert dialogue window within the application.

The compressed Graphic (now includes all YearR to Year7 Numeracy overheads), Long term, Medium term and Short term transfer files are included to enable Import into the Plan4ME application (only Short term for Lite version).

(Users of 'School Plan Management' issue 3 can also import these updated data files which replace, as appropriate, the previous database entries. However it is recommended that users take advantage of the free application upgrade to make use of the additional features. Backup your own data first! then uninstall previous issue (control panel + add/remove programs+ reboot), then install the latest issue of the application and re-Import your own and provided data. Registartion keys provided are the same.)
